DETOXIFICATION: The Natural Body Cleansing Process
By Toni Bullinger
One
of the most important factors for promoting good health and preventing disease
is the detoxification of our bodies.
Because of the tremendous need for Americans to periodically rid their
bodies of accumulated toxins and waste materials, many health organizations
continue to do research and develop products and programs that offer total body
wellness. Designed with the aid and
interaction of physicians, nutritionists, and herbalists, detoxification is a
process that has been proven to help thousands of people safe and
effectively. Every one of us has about
17 pounds of “crud”: in our intestines, and detoxification helps us rid that
waste from our bodies. Detoxification is designed to help the body cleanse
itself of toxins, mucus, and other waste materials in the intestinal tract and
the major vital organs, thus helping them to function better. This not only restores new energy to the
vital organs, but to the entire body as well.
Detoxification is also a starting point for help in many abnormal body
conditions, such as allergies, acne, arthritis, skin problems, cellulite,
obesity, etc.
To begin the actual process of detoxifying your body, you need to prepare your body for the three-day, intense detoxification process of simply a mixture of distilled water, by eliminating all meat from your regular diet two days prior. During these two days, you also introduce herbal supplements, such as wheat and psyllium. These supplements you continue to take during the detoxification process, which help in aiding the cleansing process. Days three through five, you must eliminate all solid foods and only drink two bottles of a “tasty” distilled water mixture. Along with that, you also need to drink two bottles of only distilled water, alternating the two drinks. The “tasty” mixture that you drink is a combination of:
·
Fresh
lemon juice
o The lemon juice acts as a superb cleansing acid to eat away at the build up on the inside of the digestive tract.
·
Distilled
water
o The distilled water is pure, which means it has no chemicals or bacteria to interfere with the cleansing process, and it helps to flush out the waste.
·
Real
maple syrup.
oThe real maple syrup, not only contains many minerals and vitamins, but it also will provide your body with the energy it needs in these three days.
After this three-day cleansing, you must gradually introduce your body to solid foods. The first day after the detoxification, you should eat only fruits and vegetables. The following days, you can add calcium, whole grains and then nuts and seeds. From then on, you should continue to eat sensible foods.
Benefits of Detoxifying Your Body
There are many benefits one can gain from detoxifying their body of harmful toxins. Of these benefits are:
· Increased energy
· Give your digestive tract a chance to cleanse itself of waste and bacteria
· Your liver, kidney and blood are purified, allowing them to function more effectively
· Bad eating habits are broken
· Dependencies, such as sugar, caffeine, alcohol, and other habit forming substances are diminished
· Stomach has a chance to shrink back to its normal size, in order to make it easier to control the quantity of food eaten.
Conclusion
I have explained a little about what detoxification is, why you should detoxify, how you can detoxify and what the benefits are from this cleansing process, using the “natural” remedy of lemon juice, distilled water, and maple syrup. Detoxification has helped thousands of people to rid their bodies of toxins and waste materials, allowing them to live a healthier life. With all of the additives in food nowadays, this cleansing process could save many lives.
